At the heart of every Multi development is an understanding of the culture, lifestyle and the desires of the people.
T+T Design, Multi's in-house architects have a strong history of innovation and imagination that have captured the hearts of people throughout Europe. Their award winning designs have regenerated city centres and returned them to their former glories as places where people desire to shop, work and live. Our approach to Summer Row is no different. The open, accessible and enticing retail frontages of Summer Row will invite the public into urban spaces where pedestrians, not vehicles, have priority, where the landscape inspires and people gather to enjoy their surroundings. From well-sited trees, seating and lighting to the open expanse of public spaces, everything is designed to compliment other aspects of this ambitious development, such as enhancing existing street frontages and an iconic building. Summer Row will bring attention back to Wolverhampton, the capital of the Black Country, increasing its status in the regional retail hierarchy. Multi's goal is to create a regional landmark with impressive squares and new public spaces catering to pedestrian traffic. Alfresco bars, restaurants and inviting retail opportunities will blend effortlessly with modern, secure living environments that will not only add vitality but also security to the city centre. A two level retail street forms the focus of the development; both levels are at ground floor level, to opposite ends of the development. This new street provides links to adjacent centres establishing a major retail circuit for the centre of Wolverhampton such that the new retail provision is part of, rather than in competition with, the established prime retailing. The scheme incorporates mixed uses cafes and restaurants at ground level around the squares. Summer Row is designed to support activity throughout the day and evening with access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week thus lengthening the evening economy. Bars, cafes and entrances to residential areas are used to punctuate the outer street frontages to ensure life and activity. The new Cleveland Square will be the location for leisure, lifestyle retailing, eating and drinking and will provide a pleasant and safe environment with direct access to car parking and public transport.
